Undergraduate

The undergraduate program in Mathematical Biology is based on supervised, one-on-one research experinces and innovative coursework. Undergraduate researchers help develop novel models for biological phenomena, participate in collaborative groups, and travel to national meetings to present their research results. Academically, the undergraduate math biology program is the BioMathematics minor, which has two converging tracks (one for biological scientists and one for mathematical scientists and engineers).

Biology majors must take one course from the biology elective and two courses from the mathematics and statistics electives (listed below). Mathematics and Statistics majors must take two courses from the biology elective and one course from the mathematics and statistics electives.
